Spotlight on Advanced Open Water Diver Course

As anyone who has learnt the Open Water Diver Course with me will know, I liken diving to driving a car. When you first pass your driving test, you will have all the necessary skills to physically drive a car, change gears etc but you still have limited experience. Much like an advanced driving course, you gain more valuable experience under the watchful eye of one of our instructors during the Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of five dives, usually completed over two days and is perhaps the least academic of the non-professional courses but more hands on. Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation dives are compulsory and we usually recommend to our students to take the Peak Performance Buoyancy Course. This is almost a prerequisite skill for any other type of diving so a fundamental skill to learn. Finally, you get to choose two more dives from one of the following: Night Diving (a personal fav.), Underwater Photography, DPV (scooters to you!), Search and Recovery, Boat, Enriched Air Diver... plus many more.

If you haven’t dived for a while combine it with a ReActivate refresher to get yourself thoroughly refreshed and back in the water!
